Here is Sam and his two best friends Sadie and Hogan, they live next door. He loves them. For Halloween Sam is a bee, Sadie is a kitty cat and Hogan is a pumpkin.

Wedding...

My brother Jake got married this weekend, we had a great time!

Busy...

It has been really busy, our weekends have been booked. We just had Ben's 30th birthday party, it was a surprise which was really fun. We had our neighborhood watch party last weekend and I was in Chicago for work. It was a good time. I have included pictures from our adventures.

Tonight we leave for Mills to go to Jake's wedding, should be a good time. I am really happy for Jake and Amy, they will have a happy life together.

Wonderful Weekend...

We had a great weekend, Friday we went to a happy hour with Ben's co-workers and then had our neighbors over for drinks on the deck. People ask us all of the time why we live so far away and I really do like it out there. It is peaceful, we have a great group of neighbors that live around us that I don't ever want to move away from and you can't beat having no one in your back yard. I would like to move up north on a lake someday soon but we will see. The city is getting old, we love living in the boonies.

Saturday night we had a friends wedding, it was one of the best weddings we have been to. It was at the College Club in St. Paul, nothing like having a huge house to yourself. Cole looked wonderful and we had a lot of fun- I didn't feel so good yesterday. Their decorations were very cool, it made the ballroom look so romantic. We had a great time. Ben and I stayed at the St. Paul Hotel that night, it is very nice. I would highly recommend it. Sammy was at his new overnight care call All Seasons Country Club, we think he liked it because he didn't freak out like he normally does when we pick him up. Sam and I took a lot of naps yesterday, we both felt like crap.

Wonderful Sister-in-law-to-be...

Here are some pictures from Amy's party, we had a great time. I would post some of Jake's they are rated X and I can't do that at work!

I have to say I will truly enjoy having Amy as a sister-in-law. She is a host at their house and wonderful to hang out with. I look forward to seeing them and their future.

The wedding is almost a month away! We are all excited. I am going to stop eating now so I look great in my dress. :)

Another fun weekend...

We had another fun busy weekend. We got to see our new niece Avery, who is a doll. We had fun parties to go to as well. Above are some pictures from the weekend. I will post more once I download them all...having issues with the camera.

We are excited to see Amy and Jake's house this next weekend. More partying to come. I think I need a new liver.

Girls Weekend...

I had a great weekend. We did a girls weekend in New York Mills, my home town. I invited a bunch of people, it turned out to be 4 of us. We had such a good time; we ate at Zorbaz, drank a lot of beer, danced with the locals at the VFW, got my Dad, Mom and Mother-in-law to dance with us, went to Bluffton to see the locals and did some shopping. It was a great time, I think we will make the town news paper. I have such a great group of girl friends, I really enjoy hanging out with them.

When I got home my wonderful husband had cleaned and did the laundry. It was so nice to come home to a clean house. I think Sammy missed his Mom.

The pictures were taken on the boat, Janet brought some cups that have noses on them. You can pick which nose you want, they are great cups!

Update...

I haven't written in a while, its been busy. Ben and I watched the news most of last night, the 35W bridge accident it so awful. I feel so bad for the people and families that have to deal with that. We are lucky we don't take that route to and from work.

I am excited for this weekend, it is girls weekend. I will have to post pictures next week. There is a group of 4 of us that are going to Mills for the weekend. We are going to do some shopping, go on the boat, out for dinner, and then to a few "hick" bars- well not really.

The picture above is Sam and his short term sister Molly. I miss her so much!! She has a new home now, it didn't work out. I still want another but Sam disagrees with me. I think he would pack his bags if we got #2. I was just looking online at puppies and thought I would post Molly's picture up.

My dog...

So I am obsessed with our dog, he is so cute. He brings us great joy every day, well some days he is naughty but most of the time he is so much fun. I would love to have his life; never worry about food, always have someplace nice to sleep and sleep all day! Also never have to think of what you are going to wear that day or how fat you look in your pants. He just lets it all hang out there. He is really wonderful!

Sunset...

I was going through old pictures and found a great one of the sunset on Little Pine lake up north. It was such a nice night to be on the boat, I could live at the lake. Some people say once you live there you forget about the beauty but I really thinking getting up every morning and seeing the lake out my front window would be peaceful. One day, soon I hope, will buy land up north and build a home. We may not live there right away but I see us going there every weekend. We have talked about moving up north but not sure what we would do jobs and not sure if I want to move just yet. Maybe some day...

I have been in a funk for the last few weeks, not sure what it is. I think I need a new hobby or something. I might take up cake decorating, which would be fun. Who knows maybe I will really enjoy it and become a famous cake decorator. Maybe not. I am going to take some classes and see what happens. I am just been wanting a change and I don't know what it is. Maybe it is because I am getting older. I know the change won't be a kid so for those of you who keep wishing give up that hope. I love kids but have no desire to become a parent just yet, one day.

Weekend...

We had a great weekend, Ben's Mom came for the weekend and we went to Winehaven in a northern suburb. We came home with a great selection of good wines. We enjoyed some on the deck and Sammy got to play with his buddy Gem. He loves her. Here is a picture of her and Sam, well you can't really see Gem...

Lucky...

After cleaning my house most of last night thinking what a pain the you know what this is I realized how lucky I am to have a nice place to live. There is a man and his son who is renting a house about 4 down from us. They recently have been told to move because they were not paying their rent, that is what I heard. This week he decided to park a very large eye sore in the drive way, it is a camper from the 1970's-not attractive at all. It is kind of like cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation. A broom is currently hold the front door shut and it is in need of a paint job, it gives our neighborhood a ghetto feel. It appears that that will be their new home which makes me so sad. That little boy now has to live in a van down by the river, pretty much, because of the decisions his father has made. I just made me feel lucky that I have a nice home, good job, wonderful husband, cute puppy, loving family, great friends, good neighbors next door and truly enjoy life.

Off the subject, I have added pictures of our deck. It is so nice! We use it almost every night! Sammy loves it too.

Welcome,

I have never done this before but I thought it would be a great way to post pictures and write about what is going on in my life.

Life has been very busy at our house. We finished the deck, actually got green grass to grow in our yard, busy with family- birthday parties and weddings, Sam-enough said, trying to finish the basement bed room and excersise and buying cars. It has been fun. We have tried to get up north on the boat as much as we can but that too hasn't happened too often yet this summer. Work has kept me moving too, I really like my job but it can be stressful when you are spending millions of dollars a day and it is not your own money! It is good though.

Our families have also kept us busy; Ben's sister Nikki just had baby number 5, she is an amazing woman!! Avery is so darn cute, and so are the rest of her kids. I got to meet her over the 4th of July. She is such a good baby. My brother is getting married 10/6/07 which will be fun, his fiance Amy will make a great sister-in-law.
